Department of Social and Culture Pedagogy
Head of the Department: Prof. Agnieszka Piejka
Members of the Department deal with issues such as cultural differences in the teaching and learning process, intercultural education and the influence of the social environment on individual development. In addition, they emphasize the study of social group dynamics in educational contexts, including processes of social integration and exclusion. They also undertake research on education for peace and social responsibility, seeking to understand how education can promote active social participation and democratic values. Through their research, faculty members strive to better understand the complex relationship between education, society and culture, and to develop strategies that support diversity and equality in education.
