On the way to graduation

The APD system plays the role of an electronic repository of written diploma theses. This application acts as a catalogue and repository of electronic versions of theses created at the Academy. In addition to archiving, the main function of the APD service is to support the procedure of their submission and archiving in the system. In connection with the requirement set out in Article 15(1)(7) of the Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of 27 September 2018 on studies (Journal of Laws from 2018 item 1861) a copy of the diploma thesis is stored in the student`s file at the Faculty. The printed copy of the diploma thesis (delivered to the Dean’s Office) downloaded from the APD system must be identical to the electronic version. The verification consists of imposing control numbers on all sides of the thesis.

Pursuant to Article 4(4.2) of Annex No. 4 to the Regulation of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage of 20 October 2015 on the qualification and qualifying documents, transfer of archival materials to state archives and lack of non-archival documentation (Journal of Laws from 2015 item 1743) a copy of the diploma thesis intended for the student’s file should be deprived of plastic and metal elements (e.g.: paper clips, staples, tendrils, sheet protectors, covers).

The formal requirements of the diploma thesis are set out in the resolution No. 5/2021 of the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences of ChAT of 29 September 2021 on the principles of the graduation process and the formal requirements of the diploma theses carried out at the Faculty of Social Sciences of ChAT, which should be used from 1 October 2021

In accordance with Article 77. 1-2 of the Law of Science and Higher Education the graduate of the studies receives a diploma of completion of studies in a specific field and profile confirming the higher education and professional title:

1) a Bachelor’s degree confirming higher education at the same level – in the case of first-degree studies;

2) a Master’s degree confirming the higher education at the same level – in the case of second-degree studies and uniform master’s studies.

Within 30 days from the date of graduation, the university issues the graduate a diploma with a diploma supplement and their 2 copies.
