On 25-26 April this year, the Faculty of Social Sciences at ChAT hosted a scientific and training conference entitled ‘Intercultural Competences.Transgressions’. It was the closing conference of the NAWA project implemented at the Faculty, ‘Welcome Point – information and service point for international students and lecturers’, headed by Prof. Renata Nowakowska-Siuta, Dean of WNS. The conference attracted a large number of participants (over 200) both at the Academy and online, during panel discussions and then in thematic and workshop sections on the first day, as well as during a panel discussion with representatives of non-governmental organisations dealing with intercultural education in its broadest sense, and two lecture sessions by doctoral students from the Doctoral School at ChAT. The conference was also accompanied by the vernissage of an exhibition of paintings by participants of the AzylArt art studio run in our Faculty by Marek Szałajski, MA.
