On 5 December 2023, another meeting in the Evenings with Passion series took place. This time the guest of Elżbieta Byrtek and Joanna Kluczyńska was Ms Weronika Czajko, a woman of many passions: sociologist, journalist, missionary and director of the House of Cultures in Warsaw’s Praga district. The facility she and her team run at 18 Brzeska Street hosts meetings, workshops, language classes and celebrations for people from different countries, religions and cultures. The theme of the meeting was therefore building community, showing mutual concern and respect for the differences of the guests. In a very colourful way, Ms Weronika talked about her experiences of working among people in Africa and in Poland, about the initiatives of the House of Cultures, where everyone is welcome and everyone can make their own contribution.
The meeting was held in a hybrid format: stationary and via the zoom platform, with Michal Poplawski overseeing the technical side.
